What is Digital Storytelling?
Digital Storytelling is telling a story using digital tools both cloud-based and computer/device-based.

How can I use Digital Storytelling with my students?
Whenever you assign a writing assignment or a research project or a book report, consider having your students complete a Digital Storytelling project.

Some examples:

  • a comic re-enacting a scene in a novel
  • a presentation explaining the historical background behind a novel
  • a visual representation (slideshow of photos or drawings) of a concept
  • a podcast
  • a vodcast
  • anything similar that you or a student can conceive of to exhibit learning

Some Digital Storytelling tools:
iMovie
MovieMaker
GarageBand
VoiceThread
ToonDoo
